Suspected cocaine found during Kirkland Lake traffic stop

On March 25, 2020, members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police conducted a traffic stop on Duncan Avenue South in the Town of Kirkland Lake.

Further investigation resulted in the seizure of drugs suspected to be cocaine.

As a result, Cheryl Neill, age 37 from Armstrong Township, Ont., was charged with the following:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance - cocaine, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).

The accused was released by way of an Undertaking and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake, on June 4, 2020.
