Suspect sought after break and enter at Riverside store

The Timmins Police Service has charged two local persons with Break and Enter related offences stemming from an incident that occurred during the early morning hours of Friday, Aug. 19 at a Riverside Drive retail outlet store in Timmins.

The Timmins Police Service responded to a call for service where suspects had gained entry to the business by force and made off with an undermined amount of merchandise.

All suspects were identified by means of investigation by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result of the incident, Brandon Roy, 28, of Timmins, was arrested later the same day and has been charged with: 

  • Break and Enter with Intent contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada 
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Use Disguise with Criminal Intent contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.

The Timmins Police Service currently hold an Arrest Warrant for the second suspect involved in this commercial break and enter. This person will be charged with an additional count of Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
