IROQUOIS FALLS - On Feb. 3, 2020, members of the Iroquois Falls Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with members of the North East Region OPP Crime Unit were called to investigate a sexual assault in Iroquois Falls.
As a result of the investigation, Cholamkeril Thomas, 64 years old, of Iroquois Falls, Ont. has been charged with:
- Sexual assault, contrary to section 271 of the Criminal Code (CC)
- Failure to comply with undertaking, contrary to section 145(4)(a) of the CC
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on March 10, 2020 in Timmins.
