Police ask for help identifying break-in suspect

The Timmins Police Service is seeking the public's assistance in regards to a residential break-in which occurred on Monday, the 6th of January, at 10:59 hours.
The suspect broke into a residence on Jade Avenue and stole a watch and a scarf.

Entry was gained by the suspect in the complainant’s unlocked shed located on the north side of the residence. Once inside the shed, the suspect stole a hammer and a gardening tool that looked like a pry bar.

The suspect then went to the main floor casement window located on the north side of the residence and used the break-in tools he stole from the shed to pry open the bedroom window. Damage of over $2,000 was done to the plastic window trim as it was pried open and damage was also done to the window crank opening mechanism as it was pulled open.

The suspect entered the residence through the window gaining access to a bedroom on the main floor.

The suspect fled the area with a stolen Guess watch at 11:04 hours.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 30 years old, wearing a white Nike hoody, black pants, wearing a grey slim fitting tuque along with beige gloves.
