Police arrest man for trespassing outside Lakeshore home

A property owner reported someone lurking in the area

The Timmins Police Service has charged a local person with trespass by night and other related offences stemming from an incident that occurred during the early morning hours of Saturday, July 23 at a Lakeshore Road residence in Timmins.

In response to a complaint by an alert property owner, a suspicious person who had been lurking in the area, was located by the Timmins Police Service.

The investigation revealed that the man had entered onto private property and had been lurking on a rear deck of a Lakeshore Road address.

The suspect fled on foot but was located and arrested by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result, Alexander Koosees, 34, of Timmins, Ontario, has been charged with:

  • Trespass by night contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Fail to comply with release order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • 2 counts of fail to comply with probation order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.
