JAMES BAY ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE

On May 19, 2022, members of the James Bay Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint regarding a possible impaired driver on Veterans Road in Moosonee.
Police located the motor vehicle in the driveway of a residence and spoke to the driver. Further investigation revealed that the driver was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages.
As a result, the driver was arrested, driver's licence suspended.
Michael McCauley, a 54-year-old of Moosonee, was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), contrary to section 320.14(1)(b)
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on June 14, 2022 in Moosonee.
