The Timmins Police Service arrested a Timmins resident stemming from an incident where the suspect was found to be in breach of court-imposed conditions listed in a release order.
While completing crime abatement patrol in the south end of the city during the morning hours of Friday, July 22, a Timmins Police officer observed a local man in breach of his court-imposed conditions.
This person was arrested and taken into police custody and found to be in possession of a quantity of counterfeit Canadian currency.
As a result, Eric Cote, 33, has been charged with:
- Fail to comply with release order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
- Possession of counterfeit money contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the criminal charges laid against him.
