Kirkland Lake man facing drug trafficking charges

KIRKLAND LAKE - On June 10, 2021, The OPP North East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), with the assistance of the OPP North East Region Canine Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Hayes Street in the Town of Kirkland Lake.

Police seized approximately $5,000 in Canadian Currency and drugs suspected to be cocaine, Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) and benzodiazepine (Xanax). Total street value of the seizure is estimated to be $25,000.

As a result, Brian Pascoe, 44 years of age, of Kirkland Lake, has been charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
  • Possession of a Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
  • Possession of a Schedule IV Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC),

The accused was release on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on July 29, 2021.
