July domestic disturbance calls lead to numerous assault charges In Kirkland Lake

KIRKLAND LAKE - Members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have investigated 52 domestic related incidents in the month of July, nine of which resulted in someone being charged with a criminal offence.

Some of the charges include:
    •    Assault - five counts
    •    Uttering threats - two counts
    •    Assault with a weapon - three counts
    •    Mischief - two counts
    •    Fail to comply with probation order - two counts
    •    Fail to comply with release order - four counts
    •    Fraud - one count

The OPP will not release names in order to protect the identity of the victims.
