Iroquois Falls traffic stop leads to multiple charges

On Jan. 29, 2021 members of the Iroquois Falls Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Circle Place in Iroquois Falls.

As a result of the traffic stop, Ryan Roy, 36 years of age of Iroquois Falls was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with Probation Order contrary to section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code (CC),
  • Drive motor vehicle - no licence contrary to section 32(1) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) and,
  • Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor contrary to section 32(1) of the Liquor Licence Act (LLA).

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on March 25, 2021 in Timmins.
