On April 3, 2020, members of the James Bay Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police entered into an investigation involving allegations of a sexual assault in the Town of Hearst. The OPP James Bay Detachments' crime unit assisted in this investigation.
Normand Bourdages, 71-years-old, of Hearst, Ontario, has been charged with sexual assault contrary to section 271 of the Criminal Code (CC).
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Hearst, on July 15, 2020, to answer to the charges.
