Four arrested on outstanding warrants, including one youth

The Timmins Police arrested four local residents on the strength of respective arrest warrants which were executed at the scene of four separate incidents yesterday (May 18).

The Timmins Police responded to a suspicious person call for service at a Murdoch Street address yesterday morning.

Once on scene, the subject of the complaint was recognized as a wanted person currently listed in an arrest warrant held by the Timmins Police.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, Lawrence Chum, 45 of Timmins, was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to charges resulting in the arrest warrant being issued.

In a separate incident that occurred during the early afternoon hours of Wednesday, May 18, a wanted person turned themselves into the police.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result, a young offender who cannot be named in keeping with statutory regulations, was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

This young person remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charge laid.

Additionally, the Timmins Police responded to a trespassing call for service at a Kimberley Avenue address yesterday afternoon.

Once on scene, the subject of the complaint was recognized as a wanted person currently listed in an Arrest Warrant held by the Timmins Police.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, Dorian Chokomolin, 25 of Timmins, was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to charges resulting in the arrest warrant being issued.

In a separate incident that occurred during the evening hours of Wednesday, May 18, the Timmins Police responded to a suspicious person complaint at a Pine Street North apartment.

Once on scene, the subject of the complaint was recognized as a wanted person currently listed in an arrest warrant held by the Timmins Police.

Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, Stephan Guay, 51 of Timmins, was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to charges resulting in the arrest warrant being issued.
