Driver charged after methamphetamine found during Iroquois Falls traffic stop

IROQUOIS FALLS - On Jan. 5, 2021 at approximately 11:21 p.m., members of the Iroquois Falls Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Main Street in Iroquois Falls.

As a result of the investigation, Steven Trevenna, age 33, of Iroquois Falls has been charged with the following:
    •    Possession of a Schedule I substance - methamphetamine contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) and,
    •    Drive motor vehicle with cannabis readily available contrary to section 12(1) of the Cannabis Control Act 2017 (CCA).

The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Feb. 25, 2021 in Timmins.
