Domestic incident leads to impaired charge, police officer assaulted

A domestic dispute investigation leading to impaired driving charges is among the recent Kirkland Lake OPP incidents. 

The incident happened on Jan. 15 in Kirkland Lake. 

A 41-year-old person from Kirkland Lake was charged with two drunk-driving-related charges — operation while impaired - alcohol, and operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80-plus.The accused's name is not being released to protect the victim's identity.

No court date was released.

Breaching release orders

On Jan. 16, OPP responded to a call for an unwanted person at a Prospect Avenue residence. 

Police say the accused was breaching the conditions of their release order. 

Eric Solomon, 31, of Moosonee was charged with two counts of failing to comply with a release order. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Assault a police officer charges

A 24-year-old is facing charges after a Jan. 15 incident.

Police responded to a family dispute at a Main Street residence. During the investigation, police say an officer was assaulted.

Caitlynn Beaudoin, 24, of Kirkland Lake was charged with assaulting a peace officer and resisting a peace officer. 

The accused was released on an appear notice and is scheduled in court on Feb. 10 in Kirkland Lake.
