Collision results in impaired charges for Iroquois Falls driver

IROQUOIS FALLS - On April 10, 2020 at approximately 12:15 a.m., members of the Iroquois Falls Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 67 in Iroquois Falls.

As a result of the investigation, Wade Hilts, age 32 of Iroquois Falls, was charged with the following:
    •    Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs contrary to section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC) and
    •    Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) contrary to section 320.14(1)(b) of the CC.

The accused was issued a 90 day administrative driver's licence suspension (ADLS) and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused was released on an Undertaking and scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on June 16, 2020 in Timmins.
