KIRKLAND LAKE - On Nov. 28, 2021 at approximately 3:02 p.m., frontline members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two vehicle collision on Government Road West in the Town of Kirkland Lake.
The investigation revealed that a driver involved was under the influence.
As a result (a 34-year-old from) Kirkland Lake, was arrested and charged with:
• operation while impaired, contrary to section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
• red light - fail to stop, contrary to section 144(18) of the Highway Traffic Act
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on Jan. 13, 2022.
