OPP are investigating an unusual dispute that saw a man use a backhoe to assault another man.

On Nov. 22, officers from the Temiskaming Detachment were told of a dispute that occurred the day before in Savard Township just west of Englehart.

An argument between two men resulted in the victim being assaulted with a backhoe. Police provided no other details.  

Rodney Buller, 50, from Savard Township is charged with:  

  • assault with a weapon
  • dangerous operation
  • fail to comply with recognizance

The victim did not sustain any injuries say police.   

Buller is being held in custody for a bail hearing today.
