KIRKLAND LAKE - On Sept. 19, 2021, frontline members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an incident involving a firearm in McGarry Township.
The investigation revealed that an argument had taken place and that the accused pointed a firearm at the victim.
As a result, Glenn Baker, 69 years of age of McGarry Township, has been arrested and charged with the following:
• pointing a firearm, contrary to section 87 of the Criminal Code (CC)
• assault with a weapon, contrary to section 267(a) of the CC
• assault, contrary to section 266 of the CC
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Oct. 28, 2021 in Kirkland Lake.
