Two people are facing trafficking charges after $50,000 of a variety of drugs were seized by police.
On March 19 around 3:30 p.m., James Bay OPP officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Genier Road in Cochrane.
Drugs suspected to be methamphetamine, crack cocaine, cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and methylenedioxy
Two people have been charged.
A 26-year-old from Cochrane is charged with:
- Two counts of ossession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
- Two counts ofossession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - other drugs
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Fail to comply with probation
A 22-year-old from Cochrane is charged with:
- Two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine
- Two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - other drugs
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
Both of the accused were held in custody for a bail hearing today (March 20) in Cochrane.
