2 charged in Kirkland Lake incident

On May 21, 2022, frontline members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Tweedsmuir Road in the Town of Kirkland Lake.

As a result of the investigation two people have been arrested and charged.

Roger Blais-Gallan, 36 years-of-age, from Kirkland Lake, has been charged with;

  • Break, Enter a Place - Commit Indictable Offence, contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC)
  • Assault, contrary to section 266 of the CC
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order, contrary to section 733.1(1) of the CC

Gloria Corcoran, 39 years-of-age, from Kirkland Lake, has been charged with;

  • Unlawfully in Dwelling House, contrary to section 349(1) of the CC

Both accused were released on an Undertaking and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on July 14, 2022.
