London, Ont., cyclist dies after alleged morning hit-and-run: police

LONDON, Ont. — Police in London, Ont., are investigating a fatal hit-and-run they say happened early Sunday morning.

The London Police Service says reports came in at around 4:40 a.m. of a male injured in what appeared to be a motor collision. 

The injured person, who police say was riding a bike at the time he was hit, was pronounced dead in hospital. 

Police say the suspect's vehicle may be a dark-coloured sedan with damage to the front end, hood and windshield.

Affected roads reopened by late morning.

Investigators are looking to speak with people with video footage or anyone who was on Hamilton Road in London between 4:30 and 4:45 a.m.
