(July 5, 1943 - October 11, 2014) - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Saturday October 11, 2014 at the age of 71. Beloved wife of the late Alphonse Michel. Loving mother of Tracey Michel and Lonny (Laura) Michel. Devoted Grandmother to the joys of her life, Cassandra Michel, Emily Michel and Alex Michel. Predeceased by her mother Mary Krieger, stepfather Fred Krieger and her father Milton O'Brien. She is survived by her two brothers Patrick (Judy) O'Brien and Robert (Avril) O'Brien, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be forever missed and cherished by her best friend Sally Leduc.
Mom was a faithful and devout Catholic and member of Catholic Women's League and devoted much of her life to serving the Lord through the Nativity Parish, St. Alphonsus and Sacred Heart Churches. She will fondly be remembered by many as the neighbourhood mom.
The family wish to thank Dr. Jean Cote, Dr. Lianne Catton, Dr. Chris Loreto, the staff at Timmins and District Hospital, Liz Feldman from Bayshore, Julie Bisson from the CCAC, Father Mitch, Father Marcel, Father Stephan, Father John, the ladies from Sacred Heart who prayed and visited and the numerous family and friends who helped and supported us through this difficult time. Funeral services will take place on Friday October 17, 2014 at 11 AM at the Sacred Heart Church with Father Mitch Sliwa with interment to follow. The family will receive friends on Thursday October 16 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home (705)268-4488
