KATIC, Patricia 'Pat' Kathleen

(1940-2014) - The family announces with sorrow her passing on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Timmins and DistrictHospital. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ivan (1992). Loving mother of Marina Gardiner (Adrian) ofLos Angeles, Ed Katic (Leila) of Timmins and Dan Katic (Barbara) of South Porcupine. Cherished grandmother of Ryan and Mark (Nikki), Danny, Jenna & Evan.  Dear sister of Reg “Bud” (Lorna) McCurdy and JoAnne Matthews (Graham). Pat is predeceased by her parents Reg McCurdy and Beatrice Stoakley. Pat was a person that loved living her life; she loved cooking, baking, knitting, crocheting and reading. She enjoyed her lunch dates with her friends; she was a world traveller, had a great sense of humour and loved laughing and joking. She also loved watching her grandchildren play hockey and dance. She was a very generous person with her time, resources and she donated many items she had hand made. A special thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at Timmins and District Hospital. A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday September 2, 2014 at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends on Monday September 1 from 7-9 pm at Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home (705) 268-4488. Donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association will be greatly appreciated.
