It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ester Dottori on Wednesday, August 27th 2014. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Vittorio in 1949. She leaves behind her son, Frank Dottori and his wife Eileen; her daughter, Bruna Pollon and her husband Chester; her grandchildren: David, Andrea, James, Laura, Christopher, Tracy; her great-grandchildren: Edward, Thomas, Jared, Ryan, Mathieu, Gabrial, Darius, Kezia and Siena.
Ester was born in Trevignano, Italy on March 5th 1912. She immigrated to Canada in 1939. She settled on a dairy farm in Timmins, Ontario where she worked very hard to support her family and all those who needed her. She was a basketball fan, an avid cook and a devoted member of her church, Sacred Heart. She loved discussing geo-political issues and loved all things food.
For family and friends, visitation will be held at Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home, 21 Elm Street South, Timmins, Ontario on Friday, August 29th from 7pm to 9pm and on Saturday from 9am to 10:30am. Church service will be held at SacredHeart Church, 296 Cedar Street South on Saturday, August 30th at 11am.
