BEATON, Raymond John

It is with heavy hearts, the family of Raymond John Beaton announce his passing, after a courageous battle, at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday, September 25, 2020 in his 78th year.  Born in South Porcupine, Ontario to the late Helen (nee Lefurgy) and John Beaton.  Loved, devoted and respected father of Lisa, Shawna (Jeff), Steven and Johnny and friend to their mother, Genevieve.  Adored Papa Ray to Lana and Emma, Jenna and Dylan.  Dearly loved brother of Joe (Mary), Helen (Mike) Zangari, and the late Irvin.  Dearly loved uncle Ray to his nieces and nephews.  Friend to many. Special thank you to RN Cindy Thomas for your excellent care and compassion.  You enabled Dad to stay in the comfort of his own home with dignity.  Dad thought the world of you.  Thank you to PSW Lori and all the caring staff with Bayshore Home Health Care, Drs. Sharp and Wilson and the many health care professionals who were involved with our dad over the years.
As per Rays wishes, there will be no service.  Cremation has taken place.  If you so wish, memorial contributions can be made (on-line or payable) to ARCH or to the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Care Clinic.
