Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday, November 29, 2021 at the age of 81. Beloved mother of Daniel (Sue) and cherished daughter, Shirley (Kidz). Special grandmother of Scotty (Missy) and Kimberly Fleurie (Andrew). Proud great grandma of Brenna, Zander and Keeston. Predeceased by her parents, Henri and Jeannette Arcand. She is now reunited with beloved siblings. She had a special relationship with her older sister, Florence, who was 2 ½ years older. I’m sure they have much to catch up on and soap operas to watch. Jeanne was the last surviving sibling of 9 children. Jeanne had a special bond with her God Children Alan “Kiki” and Matthew Pelchat. Jeanne loved her children’s fur babies like they were her own and will be dearly missed by Walter, Axel, Brutus, Bella, and Biijoux. Special lifelong friend of Lise Ayotte, Noel Paul, Debbie Spears, Debbie Bateman, Lorraine Crack, late Susan Witty, and the late Mary Collar.
My mom would often say to me “I don’t know what I would do without you” but now I don’t know what do to with out my mother by my side. She had a special relationship with her only grandson, Scotty, who will miss their time together greatly. Jeanne spent over 20 years driving cab in Sault Ste. Marie and was known to her regulars as “Jeanny Baby”. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A private family service will be held. Memorial donation to the SAH Cancer Care Fund or the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
