With family at his side, Réal passed away peacefully at his home in Cornwall, On. (Date) at the age of 82. Beloved spouse of Simone (Vien) of 62 years. Predeceased by his parents, Emile & Laura Allard and his sister, Micheline. Loved father of Doris (Eddy Lamontagne), Maurice (Thérèse Moreau) of Timmins, Yvette (Patrick Meissner) of Niagara Falls, Jean (Kristina Orr) of Cornwall. Proud & devoted grandfather of André (Sarah) Lamontagne, Adam (Stephanie) Lamontagne, Michel (Jessie) Lamontagne, Gaetan (Cindy) Allard, Chantal (Chris) Gravel, Marie (Brian) Fortier,  Sophie Meissner, Kevin Meissner, Simon Allard, Katherine Allard and great grandfather of 12 grandchildren. Predeceased by his in-laws, Leon & Alice (Durand) Vien, his brother and sister in-laws, Laurent Vien, Alphonse Vien, Edmond Vien & Jacqueline Vien, Irene Vien, Claudiane Vien, Irene Allard. He leaves behind his brothers and sister, Gilles Allard, Fernand & Micheline Allard, Pierre & Carmen Allard , Francine & Don Gaskill, Marc & Lise Allard. He leaves behind his in-laws, Raymond (Amy)Vien, Victor Vien, Laura Vien, Norman (Thérèse) Vien, Denis (Gineth)Vien, Paul (Rolande)Vien.   Réal was born in Woburn, Quebec.  He moved to Timmins in 1956 and worked as a master mechanic until his retirement in 1999.  He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, woodworking, travelling and a passion for tractors and everything associated with planes and flying.  He had a great sense of humour, loved a good joke and we loved to make him laugh.  He loved spending time with family and friends all while sharing his favourite desserts. The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Robert Yelle of Ottawa, his family physician of 19 years and Dr. Maggie Yu, the nurses and staff of the Bayshore Care solutions of Cornwall for their care, kindness and compassion. In accordance with Réal’s wishes, cremation will take place followed by a private Celebration of life at Lahaie & Sullivan Funeral Homes West Branch in Cornwall, On. (613-932-8482).
