Cirkunov-Teixeira light-heavyweight UFC fight shifted from Brazil to Winnipeg

TORONTO — A light heavyweight bout between Toronto's Misha Cirkunov and Glover Teixeira has been shifted to the Dec. 16 "Fight Night" show in Winnipeg.

The two were originally slated to meet Oct. 28 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Cirkunov (13-3-0) is ranked No. 9 among 205-pound contenders. Teixeira (26-6-0) is No. 4.

Both men are coming off losses in May.

Cirkunov, 30, had his four-fight win streak in the UFC stopped by Switzerland's Volkan (No Time) Oezdemir. The 37-year-old Teixeira, a Brazilian now based in the U.S., was beaten by Alexander (The Mauler) Gustafsson.

Teixeira, beaten by Jon (Bones) Jones in a 2014 title fight, has now lost two of his last three fights.
