TORONTO — Receivers Duron Carter and Marken Michel and defensive lineman Jackson Jeffcoat were named the CFL's players of the week Tuesday.

Carter had nine catches for 131 yards and two TDs to lead the Saskatchewan Roughriders past the Toronto Argonauts 38-27 on Saturday night. That included a fabulous one-handed touchdown reception.

Michel replaced an injured Kamar Kordan and registered six catches for 190 yards and a TD in the Calgary Stampeders' lopsided 60-1 home win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Michel has eight catches for 227 yards and two TDs this season.

The six-foot-three, 253-pound Jeffcoat had two sacks and an interception in the Winnipeg Blue Bombers' 41-40 win over the Montreal Alouettes. Jeffcoat's father, Jim, was a former defensive lineman with the NFL's Dallas Cowboys.
