Winter weather alerts continue for Timmins and area

Winter storm warning in effect for:
    •    Timmins - Cochrane - Iroquois Falls
    •    Little Abitibi - Kesagami Lake
    •    Gogama - Foleyet
    •    Kirkland Lake - Englehart
    •    Moosonee

Hazardous winter conditions will continue tonight with heavy snow and blowing snow.

Total snowfall amounts of 25 to 30 cm are expected before the snow tapers off Monday.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.

Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.

Snowfall warning in effect for:
    •    Chapleau - Missinaibi Lake
    •    Fraserdale - Pledger Lake
    •    Kapuskasing - Hearst - Smooth Rock Falls
    •    New Liskeard - Temagami

Snow continues over the region.

The snow may be heavy at times this evening and combine with strong, gusty winds to give reduced visibility in blowing snow.

Total snow amounts of 15 to 20 cm are expected before the snow tapers off tonight.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.  

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
