Who's playing the summer concerts and where to find the Urban Park this week

There are two summer concerts happening this week.

The first set is in Schumacher at the Lions' Park near the McIntyre Arena July 11. Estelle and John are playing at 6 p.m., Man from Hell at 7 p.m. and the CC Reilly Duo at 8 p.m.

Thursday, July 12 is the first concert at Bannerman Park in Porcupine.

That evening will feature Carol Reid at 6 p.m., Man from Hell at 7 p.m., and Rose Dale at 8 p.m.

Downtown Timmins at the Urban Park, this week's theme is superheroes and it will be set up on Third Avenue between Balsam and Maple. 

It runs July 11 to 13, starting with a kids' activity day Wednesday, farmers' market Thursday, and tunes at noon Friday. The events run from about 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., however vendors at the farmers' market can't start selling their goods until the official market bell rings at 11 a.m.

If you are looking for lunch on Friday, BMT Insurance and Financial Services is having a charity barbecue Friday, July 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Help celebrate their 65th anniversary, and support the Living Space homeless shelter in Timmins. They'll be set up at 65 Maple St. S. and there will be burgers, sausages and drinks.
