Schumacher Lions Christmas Craft Show

Friday, Nov. 9, 5 – 9 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 10, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 11, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

McIntyre Arena

Start crossing items off your Christmas shopping list at this much-anticipated annual show. Santa will be there for photos Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to noon, and 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $5. Kids under 10 are free when accompanied by an adult.

FUNraiser in support of Kirsten’s brain tumour

Friday, Nov. 9, 9 p.m.

The Working Class

There will be live music from Tory Holmes, Bobby Allen, Celine Cormier Music, Lisa A. Froment, Wyatt Young, and more. All proceeds are for Kirsten Jurek fighting a cancerous brain tumour. Tickets are $25 at the door, or $20 in advance.

Diwali at Northern

Saturday, Nov. 10, 5 p.m.

Northern College

Celebrate India’s Festival of lights with this night organized by the Association of India and NCSA Timmins. There will be dance performances, live music, comedy, vegetarian meal, and more. Tickets are $10 in advance or $17 at the door.

Sunday, Nov. 11

Timmins Museum

It will include a special presentation on Susan Taylor, a Canadian artist and senior engraver at the Royal Canadian Mint: A Selection of her coins and medals. New members are welcome. For more information contact [email protected].

At the Timmins Museum, Lorenzo Jalbert has his collection of handmade Second World War models and action figures on display. You can check it out during regular museum hours until Nov. 15. Read more about how the exhibit came together here
