What you need to know about Remembrance Day ceremonies in Timmins

There are two ceremonies for people to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the armistice.

Sunday, Nov. 11 there are Remembrance Day services at the Timmins cenotaph, as well as the South Porcupine Legion.

A parade is marching from the Timmins Armoury to the Timmins cenotaph at Hollinger Park starting at 10:45 a.m. The ceremony starts at 11 a.m. and organizers are expecting about 600 people to be in attendance.

At the South Porcupine Legion Branch 287, 46 Legion Dr., the parade forms at 10:30 a.m. and starts at 10:40 a.m. The ceremony is at 11 a.m. Immediately after there is a memorial service upstairs at the legion.
