NORTHEASTERN CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD

The Northeastern Catholic District School Board held their inaugural Board of Trustees’ meeting on Friday, Dec. 8, 2017. Rick Brassard was acclaimed as the board chair and Colleen Landers was acclaimed as vice-chair for the Board of Trustees for the 2017-2018 school year.

Tricia Stefanic Weltz, director of education, began the Northeastern Catholic District School Board inaugural meeting with welcoming all trustees and senior administrators to the meeting. Then all present participated in an opening prayer service entitled Longing for Light in the Darkness, resulting in the lighting of an Advent candle.

Following the prayer, the meeting was officially called to order and Mrs. Stefanic Weltz opened the floor to nominations for the position of chairperson. 

Following the acclamation of Richard Brassard, the meeting and election process was turned over to him and he called for nominations for the position of vice-chair. Colleen Landers was acclaimed as vice-chair of the Board of Trustees.

Rick Brassard, board chair commented, “It is an honour and a privilege to serve in this capacity for another year and I really look forward to working with each one of the trustees. I appreciate your trust and know that the upcoming year will be very special and productive year for the Northeastern Catholic District School Board.”

The NCDSB Board of Trustees would like to wish all of our teachers, staff members, students and their families a very Merry Christmas.
