KIRKLAND LAKE - Members of the Kirkland Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a man with possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred in the early morning of Oct. 15, 2017 at approximately 2:20 a.m. at a local establishment on Government Road West in the Town of Kirkland Lake.
This male has also been charged with an unrelated drug offence of possession of a controlled substance.
Charged is Ernest Aninweke, age 44, of Henwood Township. He is scheduled to appear in Kirkland Lake Criminal Court on Jan. 11, 2018.
