There may be summer-like weather in the forecast, but the City of Timmins says it’s waiting for water lines to thaw in order to open the splash pads.
The city operates two splash pads, one in Timmins and one in South Porcupine.
“We are still working on getting the splash pads operational but both the Hollinger and the White Water Park water lines are frozen. As soon as the lines are unfrozen we will get the pads operational,” said Glenn Thurston, manager of Parks, Recreation and Building Services.
Although the splash pads aren’t operational yet, the other features of the parks are available.
