Wanted man located in Timmins

On Jan. 17, 2018, the South Porcupine Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and the Timmins Police Drug Enforcement Section apprehended a wanted male during a traffic stop in the City of Timmins, Ontario.

As a result of the investigation, Roch St. Denis, 27 years old of Timmins, Ontario has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance - methamphetamine, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA),
  • Two counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the CDSA,
  • Two counts of possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose, contrary to section 88 of the Criminal Code (CC),
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CC and,
  • Fail to Comply with probation order, contrary to section 733.1(1) of the CC.

He remains in custody until his next scheduled appearance before the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins, Ontario on Jan. 26, 2018.

Also charged is Amy King, 21 years old, of Timmins, Ontario. Her offences include:

  • Two counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA),
  • Two counts of possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose, contrary to section 88 of the Criminal Code (CC) and,
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CC.

She was released on a promise to appear with undertaking. She is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins, Ontario on Feb. 20, 2018.
