Using the library is getting even easier.
The Timmins Public Library has launched a new user-friendly app. It allows people to browse the library's collections, place items on hold, check out digital content and renew items, according to the announcement.
It also gives users a virtual library card on their mobile device. The virtual card allows people to add multiple cards, link accounts and manage their family's cards.
“In the age of COVID and social distancing, remote access has become more important than ever,” said Carole-Ann Demers, chief executive officer, in a news release.
“We are excited to deliver the new Library app to patrons offering convenient access to collections and online services from anywhere, at any time.”
The app can be downloaded from the Apple and Google Play App stores.
