Want a COVID-19 vaccine? Here are the upcoming clinics in the area

A number of COVID-19 vaccination clinics are slated across the Porcupine Health Unit. 

First dose clinics are by appointment or people can drop in. Pfizer vaccines are open to all people 12 years of age and older.

For second doses, people must be 12 years or older to receive Pfizer and 18 years or older to receive Moderna. The first dose of an mRNA vaccine must have also been administered at least 28 days ago. Appointments must be booked for second-dose clinics.

The upcoming clinics as of July 23 at 7 a.m. are:

Friday, July 23

  • Kapuskasing - sports palace, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Pfizer. Moderna available if needed.
  • Timmins - Metro parking lot, 1-5 p.m. Drop-in. Pfizer and Moderna.
  • Taykwa Tagamou Nation Community Centre, 10 a.m. - 2p.m. Drop-in. Pfizer.

Saturday, July 24

  • Mountjoy Farmers Market, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Drop-in clinic. Pfizer and Moderna.
  • Iroquois Falls - Mill Market, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Drop-in. Pfizer.

Monday, July 26

  • Smooth Rock Falls - arena, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. There are 15 appointments available. Pfizer.
  • Timmins - Mountjoy Arena, noon - 4 p.m. There are 41 appointments available. Pfizer and Moderna.

Tuesday, July 27

  • Matheson - Vern Miller Arena. There are 54 appointments available. Moderna. 
  • Kapuskasing - sports palace, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. There are 135 appointments available. Pfizer. Moderna available if required.

Wednesday, July 28 

  • Hearst - Claude Larose Arena, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. There are 221 appointments available. Moderna.
  • Timmins - Mountjoy Arena, noon - 4 p.m. There are 203 appointments available. Pfizer and Moderna.
  • Iroquois Falls - arena, noon - 4 p.m. There are 93 appointments available. Pfizer. Moderna available if required.

Thursday, July 29

  • Timmins Academic Family Health Team, 101 Mall, 1-3:30 p.m. There are 146 appointments available. Moderna.

Friday, July 30 

  • Timmins - First United Church, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sensory-friendly clinic. There are 45 appointments available. Pfizer and Moderna.
