Timmins Police has identified the victim of a fatal crash in South Porcupine yesterday.
According to police, 82-year-old Nick Joseph Oreskovich of Timmins succumbed to his injuries yesterday afternoon. Next of kin notifications have been completed by Timmins Police.
Oreskovich was the driver of a passenger vehicle involved in a two-vehicle crash just east of the Bruce Street Y on Highway 101 around 11:30 a.m. Nov. 12.
The other vehicle involved was a pickup truck. Police say its driver and his passenger were uninjured.
The crash is still under investigation.
To allow for the technical investigation by police, the scene will be closed to traffic at 11 a.m. today.
The alternate route for traffic is for eastbound traffic is exiting at Bruce Avenue into South Porcupine. Westbound traffic should take Legion Drive, then turn right onto Bruce Avenue to get to Highway 101.
