Two Face Charges Following Methamphetamine Seizure

Two Timmins residents are facing charges following the execution of two search warrants by the Timmins Police Service’s Drug Enforcement Section last week. On May 13, 2013, police seized over 20,000 “Ice” brand Methamphetamine tablets.

On May 13, 2013, police seized over 20,000 “Ice” brand Methamphetamine tablets. Other items seized include drug paraphernalia and Canadian currency. The potential street value of the drugs seized is approximately $200,000.

Charged are Joel GAUDREAULT, 35, and Hassie-Lee SUTHERLAND, 29, both residents of Timmins. The two face charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a Schedule II substance, and possession of property obtained by crime.

Both were released on a recognizance of bail and are scheduled to appear in court on June 17, 2014.
