“An historic first.” That’s how Timmins-James Bay Conservative Association President Steve Kidd describes the local riding association’s contested nomination process.

“We are delighted to announce that we have two outstanding residents of the riding who will vie for the party’s nomination in early August to represent Timmins-James Bay in the October federal election,” said Kidd.

“These two bright young candidates bring a fresh perspective and a passion for change that blends perfectly with the vision of the federal party under the leadership of Andrew Scheer,” he adds.

The two individuals seeking the support of party members are:

  • Kraymr Grenke, Timmins
  • Morgan Ellerton, Timmins

“It should not go unnoticed that both of these fine candidates are residents of the riding and both are passionate about the need to return the riding to the government side of parliament,” said Kidd.

The party will hold its nomination meeting Aug. 1 in Timmins. The time and location of the meeting will be announced in the coming days.
