Update – September 19th, 2014 - We wish to inform the public that electrical repairs have been completed. We are awaiting approval from the Electrical Safety Authority before powering up the system. We expect to have the traffic signals operational by the end of the day.
Saturday, September 13th, 2014 - The Public Works Department wishes to inform motorists and pedestrians that the traffic signals at the entrance of TH&VS are not operational. A nearby electrical vault flooded during the rain event on Thursday and a the transformer inside the vault has failed. A replacement unit has been ordered and repairs are scheduled for later this week.
The City of Timmins has placed temporary stop signs at this location. Please obey all signage. Street lights are also without power during this outage. Please drive safely. We apologize for any inconveniences.
