A Timmins woman took home the top prize in the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation's monthly 50/50 draw.
Marie Maltais won $215,830 in the July draw.
"Marie’s first call was to her husband and they are both still overwhelmed that they actually won. Marie has been a ticket purchaser since back in September when we launched the district 50/50 (her winning ticket was a $40 ticket bought mid-month). She says that 'the lottery is a great way to support our hospital and the various ticket options make it accessible to everybody'" reads the TADHF announcement.
