Congratulations to Carmen Landry of Timmins after winning a $333,333.40 MaxMillions prize in the Dec. 7, 2018 Lotto Max draw.

“I play Lotto Max, Lottario and sometimes Lotto 6/49,” shared Carmen, a 43-year-old local hospital worker, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.

Carmen noticed on Facebook that someone from her hometown won $333,333.40. “I went to the store to validate my ticket and ended up running out of the store because I couldn't believe I had won!” she laughed. “I called my husband and we went back to check the ticket again!”

The married mother of one plans on sharing her windfall, paying off some bills, and enjoying an excellent Christmas.

“It’s very exciting – it’s hard to grasp but will probably sink in eventually!” Carmen smiled.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Esso on Algonquin Boulevard in Timmins.
