Timmins Police Service - Charges Laid at Hersey Lake

Three teenagers have been charged after police conducted patrols at Hersey Lake on Wednesday June 26th 2013.

Three teenagers have been charged after police conducted patrols at Hersey Lake on Wednesday June 26th 2013.

During routine patrols on June 26th 2013, the Timmins Police Service have charged one 17 year old male with being in possession of alcohol and two 16 year old males with riding their dirt bikes through the Mattagami Regional Conservation Authority’s walking trails. All three youth were issued Provincial Offence Notices.

The two youth on dirt bikes required assistance in order to trailer their motor vehicles home.

Police are reminding the public that repeated patrols will take place in these types of areas as indicated during the joint press release of June 14th 2013. These types of incidents can be used as an opportunity for youth to help educate their friends on the consequences of being involved in prohibited activities.
