Timmins Police seized $114,580 worth of drugs. Two locals charged

On Nov. 16, 2017, officers with the Timmins Police Service’s Drug Enforcement Unit with assistance from uniform patrol executed a search warrant at a residence in Timmins. As a result of the search warrant, two individuals were arrested and charged with drug-related offences.

A quantity of illegal substances were seized including approximately 267 grams of cocaine, and approximately 8,700 methamphetamine tablets, as well as $1,100 in Canadian currency.

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $114,580. Dean Leo Dubuc, 46, and Shannon Nadeau, 48, both of Timmins now face charges including:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine 
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000

Dubuc was further charged with:

  • Fail to comply with recognizance (x5)
  • Possession of a weapon contrary to Prohibition Order - fail to comply with probation order (x2)

Dubuc was held in custody pending a video remand date on Friday, Nov. 24, 2017. Nadeau was released on a recognizance of bail.
