Timmins Police Recover a Stolen Vehicle During a Traffic Stop

In the early morning hours of October 9, 2013, a Timmins Police officer noticed a vehicle driving erractically through the downtown core. The officer observed the vehicle fail to stop at a red light and using signal lights inconsistantly.

In the early morning hours of October 9, 2013, a Timmins Police officer noticed a vehicle driving erractically through the downtown core. The officer observed the vehicle fail to stop at a red light and using signal lights inconsistantly.

Upon effecting a traffic stop, driver of the vehicle appeared unsteady and confused. He also showed other signs of impairment.

The driver was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. Further investigation by police revealed that the vehicle was stolen.

Quinn MARTIN, 21, faces charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle, refuse breath sample, theft under $5000, and breach of probation.

Martin remains in custody pending a court date of today, October 10, 2013.
