Feet are in the spotlight this month.
May has been proclaimed foot health month in Timmins, and a 'Give Feet A Chance' flag is also flying at city hall.
“It’s basically to create awareness that feet are an important part of our daily life,” said Patrick Rainville, Rainville Health co-owner.
“We want everybody to know and understand that there is something that could be done about foot condition and foot problems that people sometimes have when they could wake up in the morning and get heel pain or they could have a whole lifetime and then all of a sudden then need help with mobility and we can help them out with that.”
Rainville said they’ve been helping grow the foot care business in the area since 1997. Today their clinic on Riverside Drive offers foot care, foot wear and orthotics.
“Feet are an important part of everybody’s life and from fashion shoes to work boots everybody puts on shoes every day, for the most part, and we want to create awareness that if people are having some issues that we can help and just take care of your feet,” he said.
