Third home-invasion suspect arrested

The Timmins Police Service has completed its investigation into an alleged home invasion by locating and arresting the third suspect.

The incident occurred during the early morning hours of Thursday, Mar. 16 at a Kirby Street apartment unit where a 43-year-old man was assaulted in his residence by three suspects.

Two of the suspects were arrested a short while after the event took place.

The third suspect was located and arrested on Saturday, Mar. 18 by the Timmins Police Service.

Brandon Dionne, 24, of Timmins has been charged with:

  • One count of robbery with intent contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of being unlawfully in a dwelling house contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous person contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of utter threats contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Two counts of fail to comply with probation order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins.
